The little Droplet is designed to be a very quick shortboard with some extra area right through to handle a variety of surfing conditions and surfer levels.
The outline from centre to tail is slightly drawn out to suit the quad fin setup and also having a wider nose area to give a bit more volume upfront which helps getting into the waves, duck diving and making it through the flatter swells.
A sleek rocker from nose to tail, nice boxy rails within 12” from the tail, keeping it afloat and a great single concave nose to tail, directing the water through as quickly as possible.
The fin setup for this one is slightly different to a standard quad fin. The fins are positioned closer together and out to the rails edge to help free the centre of the board. The larger twin fin up front and the small stabilizer fin behind gives the feeling of a twin fin yet with a lot more noticeable hold and drive.
Originally shaped personally for Deano in 2000, he only surfed that Droplet, 6’0” to 6’8” for the next 5 years.
Well suited for the surfer who is in need of a modernised shortboard and with heaps of speed and manoeuvrability along the wave.
